Two Diplomas in the first afternoon

Fátima Gálvez fourth in Foso and Sonia Franquet sixth in Air Gun, the best in RIO 2016.

Neither Jorge Díaz nor Alberto Fernández made the cut

09-08-2016
Jorge finished in twenty-seventh place with a score of 620.9 in the 10m Air Rifle test in which he made his debut as an Olympic shooter, something that in itself is very difficult because let's not forget that to be there you have to get a place reserved for a few.

The first part of the test was worse than the second. In the first three series it has not exceeded 103, while in the 4th and 5th it did exceed 104. His scores per series have been 103.3 / 102.4 / 103.2 / 104.3 / 104.3 and 103 ,4.

The gold medal went to the Italian Nioccolo Campriani, who achieved his third medal in the Olympic Games after gold in Three Positions and silver in Compressed Air in London 2012. The silver medal in this test went to Ukrainian Serhiy Kulish and bronze for Russian Vladimir Maslennikov.

For his part, Alberto has been in seventeenth position with 115/125, slightly better than in Beijing 2008 where he was 33rd and in London 2012 25th.

A bad fifth and last series 21/25 have eliminated him from the test despite the fact that the day had started very well with a plenary session, which placed him with 94/100 provisional sixth, in semifinal positions.

The Madrilenian has signed a card of 24, 23, 22, 25 and 21 that has made us stay with honey on our lips.

The Olympic champion has been the Croatian Josip Glasnovic, second the Italian Giovanni Pellielo and bronze the British Edward Ling.

No luck either in Sports Pistol or Free Pistol

10-08-2016
The second performances of Sonia Franquet in Pistol Deportiva on Tuesday, nor today's in Pistol Free by Pablo Carrera have brought us a final with which to enjoy our sport.

The Tarragona woman did not have her day yesterday and from the beginning she was very far from privileged positions. In precision, which is her strength, she only got 286 points and in rapid shooting 278, which added up to a total of 564 and that left her in a discreet thirty-fifth position that in no way reflects her level and the state of form with which she came to RIO And if he showed on Sunday in the Air modality where he was sixth.

The test was won by the Greek Anna Korakaki, second by the German Monika Karsch and third by the Swiss Heidi Diethelm Gerber.

In Pistol Free, Pablo Carrera started with 88 points in the first round, about 4 or 5 points below the level exhibited from that moment and that in the end he has missed.

Since the second round he has already shot as he usually does and has scored 96, 90, 93, 92 and 96 for a total of 555-12x that in the final moments have come to lift him to the eighth place that gave him the right to dispute the final . Unfortunately in the last breath he has been overtaken by the Chinese Zhiwei Wang who has left him with honey on his lips.

The gold medal went to the South Korean Jongoh Jin, the silver to the Vietnamese Xuan Vinh Hoang and the bronze to the North Korean Song Guk Kim.
