Shooting courses

Shooting courses are a specialty in which concepts such as speed, power and precision are equally evaluated.
The competition is divided into different exercises. The aim of the shooters is to try to solve each exercise in the shortest time possible and with the maximum score available.
In each exercise we can find different types of targets, located at different distances (from 2 to 50 meters). Basically two types of targets are used, paper and metallic. The paper targets are called IPSC Targets which include different scoring zones. Within the metallic ones we will find Poppers, mini Poppers and plates or discs between 15 and 30 cm. diameter.
The distribution within the exercises is open to the imagination of the designer of each competition, so that one exercise is never the same as another, nor is one competition the same as the next.
The classifications are divided by categories based on the age and sex of the athlete, as well as by divisions based on the characteristics of the weapons used. The currently recognized divisions are:

OPEN

In the open division, pistols are used in which a series of modifications are allowed that make this division the "Formula 1" of the specialty.

STANDARD

In this division, the pistols must be standard, having to comply with specific measures, not allowing any type of optical sight.

PRODUCTION

In this case, the weapons are double action and completely factory, not allowing any type of modification on them.

CLASSIC

In this division, the weapons to be used are similar to those of the "Standard" division, but only "single-row" magazines are allowed.
